DESCRIPTION:Fred Frey and Kamala from Vintage tree care will be teaching a hands-on fruit tree pruning class at Harmony Farm Supply. Fred has over 25 of years of experience in the arboriculture field\, with specialized training in fruit tree care and structural pruning. Participants will learn basic tree anatomy and how it relates to proper tree structure\, weight management and fruitwood distribution in a given species. Pruning tool handling and use will be covered as well as a basic ladder use as it applies to fruit tree care. DESCRIPTION:This free organic compost event is organized by the Sebastopol Climate Action Committee. Residents from the Sebastopol area are invite to come between 9am-noon to load compost into their own vehicle. Please bring your own shovel\, gloves and containers/truck (some bags will be available for those that need them) Approximately 1/2 cubic yard per household. Compost will be available until the pile is gone. Please ask volunteers for help if you are in need of assistance shoveling and loading your compost.
